Young Adult Book Review: Jesse's Girl by Miranda Kenneally

With JESSE’S GIRL, author Miranda Kenneally creates a fun and heartwarming story perfect for Summer reading that's full of music, humor, and romance. This is my first experience with the author and I can see the popular appeal in her writing. Though I'm not a huge contemporary romance reader, (yet) when I saw the title Jesse's Girl and its synopsis, I knew I wanted to try it. Here's what I liked about JESSE'S GIRL:

Adult Book Review: No Limits by Lori Foster

Wow, I'm so glad that I picked up this new Ultimate series! It's been a while since I've read a book by Lori Foster, but as soon as I heard the books were featuring fighters in MMA, I couldn't resist reading No Limits. I jumped right in, and had no problem falling for this new series without having read its prequel, Hard Knocks yet. Of course, I enjoyed this one so much there's no doubt I'll soon be reading it as well. With No Limits author Lori Foster returns to the world of MMA- mixed martial arts and brings us the first in her new Ultimate series featuring alpha styled heroes that are fighters and the women they love and would risk it all for.

Adult Book Review: Bite Me, I'm Yours by Stacy McKitrick

Bite Me, I'm Yours by Stacy McKitrick feels much like a contemporary romance would, with the exception that it has a light touch of paranormal feel to it thanks to a hunky, bartender who also just happens to be a vampire as well. The cover immediately drew me with its kissing couple and its fun title for sure.  The author Stacy McKitrick is new to me, and I was hoping for a paranormal romance with strong and exciting characters all wrapped-up in a fun and contemporary setting. Overall, it was entertaining read, although different that I had originally anticipated.

Adult Book Review: Rock Addiction by Nalini Singh

Nalini Singh's book, Rock Addiction,  features a rock star romance that's filled with sizzling, hot sex, rock n' roll, and touch of angst. Completely different from her Paranormal and Urban Fantasy novels, Rock Addiction read like an contemporary romance and has a slightly New Adult feel to it, yet manages to keep the dramafest down. I love Nalini Singh's paranormal romances, and her ability to make you feel connected to her characters no mater the setting nor genre. What held true for me in this story was the fact that she created once again a couple that I wanted to root for. Plain and simple. I ended up liking both Fox and Molly, and enjoying Rock Addiction. Here's what worked and did not work for me.
