SUMMARY:
A surprise inheritance reunites a mixed martial arts fighter with the woman he's never forgotten in the first in a smoldering new series from New York Times bestselling author Lori Foster…

Cannon Colter is quintessential hero material: chiseled jawline, shredded body—the works. He's also the guy who rescued Yvette Sweeny from kidnappers, only to put an end to her romantic dreams. These days, she's older, smarter, determined to face whatever life throws her way. Even the prospect of sharing a house and business with Cannon.

Cannon knew Yvette wanted him three years ago. But she was young—and some things are worth waiting for. Thrown together by her grandfather's legacy, he realizes how deep Yvette's scars really go, and how much danger lurks in their quiet town. As pent-up desire explodes between them, protecting her becomes the only fight that matters. And he'll break all the rules to do it.

Wow, I'm so glad that I picked up this new Ultimate series! It's been a while since I've read a book by Lori Foster, but as soon as I heard the books were featuring fighters in MMA, I couldn't resist reading No Limits. I jumped right in, and had no problem falling for this new series without having read its prequel, Hard Knocks yet. Of course, I enjoyed this one so much there's no doubt I'll soon be reading it as well. With No Limits author Lori Foster returns to the world of MMA- mixed martial arts and brings us the first in her new Ultimate series featuring alpha styled heroes that are fighters and the women they love and would risk it all for.

No Limits gives us Cannon, an MMA fighter just back from Japan from one of the biggest challenges of his career and is on down time between tours and training. This is Cannon's story and some readers will recognize him from the Love Undercover series, where readers first caught a glimpse of Cannon and Yvette. Now this is their story where our hero and heroine once again meet up after the death of Yvette's grandfather and an inheritance brings them together again.

It becomes immediately clear that Cannon has strong feelings for Yvette, and the red-hot attraction and sexual pull these two have was pure yummy-ness to read! This attraction has been building between the two since Yvette was eighteen and a terrible tragedy struck, where Cannon came to her rescue and made all the sparks fly, but the timing was all wrong. Cannon has never forgotten Yvette, the one girl that somehow manage to get under his skin, and after three long years he still wants her. And now that she's older he can't wait to see her and this time he's going to fight to make her his.

Yvette has since moved on from the fateful day a horrible incident changed her life and threatened her, and she's never forgotten her knight-in-shinning armor that helped rescue her. This time around she's determined to not to be the starry-eyed, love-struck eighteen-year-old that flirted outrageously with Cannon. Poised and confident, she resolves not to be a burden to Cannon nor need any more rescuing. Yvette is about to find out just how determined Cannon can be when it comes to the fight for Yvette and winning her over. Their attraction to each other won't be denied, and as danger from more than one source threatens Yvette, Cannon realizes that he wants Yvette for his own, and protecting her is the only real fight that matters to him.

I loved how Foster brought these two together, and the tug and pull between them was HOT! Cannon is the swoon-worthy combination of hero, alpha male and fighter. Strong, smart, loyal and bad-ass with the sexiness to curl your toes. With Yvette, he's sweet, tender and oh-so-tempting. This romance was not to be missed.

Foster also knows how to include some great secondary characters as we meet several other martial art buddies that play a role in Cannon's life and they seriously have the best humor and fun camaraderie you could ask for. Somehow Foster knows how to write and convey these guys thoughts with such sexy banter and "guy-lingo" that your nearly fanning yourself. Add to this a great and sassy BFF of Yvette's and Cannon's sister who is walking dynamite, and you got the making of some serious fun. And don't forget the mystery, there's actually a few things going on in this story that added just the right amount of danger, keeping you on edge.

A great start to a new series that will have you sighing for the hero and rooting for the romance while a mystery keeps you in suspense. I'm looking forward to reading more of this series for sure and can't wait to see these heroes feature in No Limits!

My Rating: 4.0 Stars. I really liked it!
